Cricut created several different categories of cartridge types. For example Project & Event, Seasonal, Cake, Imagine, Solution, and Lite.These were created outside of the normal shape and font cartridges. Each of these category types had a specific purpose or need that they wanted to fulfill.
Lite cartridges, at the time, were created to be a smaller set of images at a lower price point and were originally released in Walmart stores. A “regular” cartridge usually had 100 or more images with 6 different layer or feature types.
Lite Cartridges have 50 images and are less complex in design than a regular image cartridge. Images will have the image, shift image, and one or two images within the layer key This makes assembly less complicated and easy to do.
In most cases, the themes of Lite Cartridges are more specific to a certain topic. Everything ranging from Varsity Letters and Slumber Parties, to Cupcake Wrappers and Chore Charts. These cartridges are fun, bite-sized sets of images!

I am so happy that you are still selling Cricut cartridges. I love these cartridges for all sorts of projects. It is nice to have cut files that you don’t have to spend hours looking for and they are there when you need them.
